Storage Solutions

It’s time to get organized for the new year.  Outside of my downstairs bathroom, I have a little nook which was pretty much wasted space.  I added two shelves which gave me a lot of extra storage space.

Since this area is off my bathroom, I am now able to store some extra towels there.

If you have open shelves like this, you might want to make some attractive matching cardboard boxes.

I purchased two circular cardboard hat boxes in the craft store.  I measured and used painter’s tape to mark off an area which circled each box.  Since I had left over paint from painting the shelves, I painted one ring around each circular box.  When dry, the painter’s tape was pulled off.

Feel free to add additional rings around the boxes.

I’m storing ribbon in these boxes but you can pretty much store what ever you like in them.

I used two large canning jars to store my soap and paint brushes in.

The jars add a country touch.

Be creative with your choice of storage containers!
