Today’s Peek-A-Boo Showers blog takes my Readers way back to my early teenage years in junior high school.
We had a physical education class every day in junior high and also in high school. So, let’s see I had archery class, basketball, tag football, tennis, swimming, badminton, baseball, volleyball, softball, relay races, field hockey, kickball, running, modern and folk dance, etc.
For high school seniors, there was individual physical education class where you could do what ever you wanted to do as long it was written up in a plan. OK, that last class was probably the most fun.
Is Peek-A-Boo a Possibility?
Well, back to peek-a-boo showers part of the blog. So with all this physical activity going on, we were required to take a shower. We had one large shower room with no partitions. The PE teacher’s assistant would sit on a fold up chair near the shower exit portion. When you were done with your shower, you gave her your PE number to mark off. It now rather sounds like too much control and a little creepy, but that’s the way it was back then. Some girls would leave their underwear on and wrap a towel around their body and “pretend” they were taking a shower.
NOTE: It’s amazing how much this above photograph of showers on a vintage prison tour, looked like our showers.
The boys’ PE building was connected our the girls PE building. In fact, our showers were back to back.
Well, here’s the point of all this, one time one the boys said there was a hole through the boy’s PE showers and they could look in and see the girls showering. Of course, the girls were all outraged with this new information. So, during the school’s open house, one girl went into the boy’s shower. She walked up and down the wall looking for the gaping hole. Of course, she found nothing.
Hidden Cameras in Cafe
So, fast forward to today’s news, when hidden cameras were recently found in two bathrooms in a Falls Church cafe. Apparently, it was a pen-like device hidden under the sink.
The article gave information on how to detect a hidden bathroom camera. Some tips are below:
How to Spot Hidden Bathroom Cameras
- Pay Attention to usual objects that seem out of place, like smoke detectors with tiny pinholes, fake air fresheners, or objects with usual shapes that could conceal a camera.
- Common hiding spots are power outlets, tissue boxes or underneath sinks or tables.
- In low-light conditions, look for small red or green LEDS that might indicate a camera with night vision mode.
- Use your phone’s flashlight to scan for reflections from concealed camera lenses in outlets, clocks, and smoke detectors, etc.
Ending Notes for Peek-A-Boo Showers
Peek-A-Boo Showers from years ago was only a wild idea made up to enrage the gullible girls.
However, cameras hidden in public restrooms appears to be a real possibility. As always, pay attention to your surroundings.
