Vintage Carnival Footed Iridescent Candy Dish
I found this candy dish in a second hand store. It was made by the Jeannette Glass Company in Pennsylvania. The pattern was called “Anniversary” and the glass is colored in an iridescent marigold hue.
This type of glass was commonly called carnival glass since it was given out as prizes at carnivals. The candy dish has three glass feet on the bottom with a ribbed prism band. I remember winning a couple of heavy amber goblets at a carnival after tossing a ring around them. Now the carnivals give out stuffed animals.
This candy dish dates back to approximately 1940-1965. I saw this dish on line priced at $10.
This dish is not particularly valuable, but I enjoy it filled with candy during the holiday season.
