Today we are blogging about a 3-Axis Stabilized Gimbal which uses a smartphone for filming video while moving.
Our video technical director wanted to use this gimbal with his smartphone for filming an episode on his YouTube channel in which he is walking and talking.
A gimbal is a pivoting support which allows one to rotate an object along a single axis.
A common 3-axis gimbal allows a camera to be independent of the movement of the person holding the camera.

The first thing to do is to balance the gimbal before turning it on.
This gimbal has a panel control, USB output and shutter button.
Place your Smartphone in the Smartphone clamp.
Now to go out and take a walk to see how things look.
A real advange of this gimbal is that you do not need to take a large camera with you. All you need is your cell phone.
The qualitiy of the video will be less than your regular camera but this Smartphone gimbal is convenient and easy to use.
In checking out the finished video, to me, it seemed a little too close. Our technical video director said he would try holding his arm straight out and felt that would change things.
The video produced crisp video images, good sound, and the gimbal worked out well.
I hope you enjoyed the video adventure and Happy Hollywood Dreams.
