Tips for Selecting Women’s Pajamas

This new sleep shirt arrived in my mail this week.

I thought I would do a quick blog on things to look for when buying women’s pajamas.

Ever since COVID-19 began, we are no longer immediately getting dressed and out the door.  Instead we are wearing our “loungewear” for longer periods of the day.

Tips for Buying Pajamas

  1. Look for sumptuous fabrics and details.
  2. Your pajamas should be more comfortable than your regular clothing.
  3. Keep the season in consideration.  You might want a long flannel gown in the colder winter months.  In summer, look for light-weight cool fabrics.
  4. Look for your ideal color.  You don’t need to buy white or pastel colored items if that is not to your liking.
  5. Set and budget and stick to it.  There is no need to overbuy loungewear unless you plan to also wear it as outerwear.
  6. Make sure it is machine washable unless you have time to hand wash it.

For example, this night shirt meets a lot of my needs.  First of all, I love the paisley blue and white design.

The fabric is smooth and comfortable feeling.  The night shirt has a front pocket.

Everything is nicely sewn with expensive looking details.

The pocket and inner neck area have a contrasting blue band.  There is also a generous one-inch hem.

I guess the main thing is how comfortable it is and if I can easily get into my sleep zone while wearing it.

I’ll have to post an update at another time.

Readers:  If you have any favorite loungewear, why does it make you happy?

Sorry I do not have a mailing list. Perhaps that is something I should look into? Have a wonderful day.

  3. Christiane,
Thanks for reading one our earlier blogs. I’m not sure I believe it is “who you know” when starting a blog unless you want to interview famous people. I find the “every day” person just as interesting. What do my Readers think?
