The “In-Between” Time

Today, in the “in-between” time, we were at our favorite Garden Center getting a load of wood for our wood burning stove.

It’s an odd time of the year–there are still Christmas holiday sales going on, Valentine’s Day is nearing, and spring decorating has already begun.

So, It’s kind of an “in-between” time.

After Christmas Sales

The photograph on the right shows faux magnolia leaf garlands. Decorating with magnolia leaves is a Southern staple.

There is also a nice selection of faux pine garlands.

If you need ribbon for next year’s holiday decorating or craft projects, now is the time to buy it.

This past holiday, gnome merchandise was a popular theme.

Fireplace Supplies in the “In-Between” Time

We buy our firewood from this garden center because it is always dry and burns nicely.

It is still not warm enough to do away with making fires in the fireplace.

Today at the front of the store they had some fat wood firestarters, small logs and other fireplace supplies, (see the below photograph).

These were located outside the store.

Valentine’s Day Presents

What could be cuter than this Valentine’s Day Tree complete with decorative ribbon, cupid figurines, roses, and flowers, (see below photograph).

The garden center also has a nice selection of candles, gift wrap, and gifts for Valentine’s Day giving.

Since I was wearing a COVID face mask, I was unable to smell the candles.

However, the pear shaped candles probably smelled like pears.

The “In-Between” Time & Ending Remarks

The employees were decorating the inside portion of the store.

This one section immediately made me think of spring days with all the green and earth tones.

There was so much to look at–bird cages, bird houses, green napkins, faux ferns and other green toned home decorative items.

Shopping with their large selection of merchandise is always special.
