OK, in the middle of a busy day I decided to take a break and think about upcoming Relaxing Summer Days. Even though it is not quite summer, I’m already beginning to relax. Truth be told, you don’t have to take a summer vacation to get away from it all.
Today we’re going to talk about ways to relax at home and enjoy the day.
So, when things get crazy, I step away from it all here. I’m sitting in the “office” in a comfortable chair. Yes, this is actually another rare photograph of me for my fans. (Enjoy!)
I took my shoes off and I have my feet propped upon a large footstool. I actually closed the French doors, so I could have a little privacy. I’m also making a phone call to a dear one but that’s not in the photograph.
Closing myself off in a calm environment, I take a few minutes to destress. Yes, believe it or not, I’m having an extremely stressful day dealing with workers and issues.

Below is a list of things I do to enjoy a relaxing summer’s day. Or you can do a few of your own favorite things.
- Meditation – Take relaxing deep breaths and think calming thoughts.]
- Exercise – I know some people who exercise every day, go on walks or do something physical to keep their mental outlooks cool.
- Write in a Journal – Humm . . . This is what Farmhouse Magic Blog does, but I allow the world to see my journal postings via my blog’.
- Connect with a Loved One – Yes, make that phone call to a loved one just to say “Hello, I miss you.”
- Do Stretches.
- Take a hot bath or shower – I like using orange or lemon smelling body wash.
- Listen to music.
Ending Notes of Relaxing Summer Days
What I’m trying to bring out in today’s blog is that you don’t have to go on pricy vacations to relax and enjoy your summer.
In fact, this year I’m probably going to spend way too much money on “things”. So, I’ll be staying home for sure. More on “things” in upcoming postings.
Happy Day to all my Readers and remember to “Take Five”.
