Plant-Based Chicken Burgers

I like to try out new meals for my family, so today, Farmhouse Magic Blog is doing a taste test on plant-based chicken burgers. I saw this package of plant-based chicken burgers in my local organic grocery store and took them for dinner.

The chicken burger package shows a photograph of a nicely breaded chicken patty with a claim of being both tender and tasty.

By checking out the Harvard Health Blog, they suggest you should change the way you view meat by eating smaller size portions or less of it. Focus meals on plants with fruit for dessert.

So, this plant-based chicken burger meal might be a good choice for a non meat meal.

Nutritional Facts on Chicken Burgers

First of all, by reading the package each burger has 170 calories, 10 grams of protein, 1 gram of total sugar, 6 grams of fat, 0 grams of cholesterol and 20 grams of carbohydrates. The chicken burgers are dairy free, non GMO, and don’t contain palm oil. There are three burgers per package.

Some of the ingredients in the burgers are soy protein, salt, sunflower oil, onion powder, textured wheat protein, etc.

Making Plant-Based Chicken Burgers

The burgers are easy to make, only heat and serve because they can be put in the oven or microwave to warm up. I put my chicken burgers in the oven to heat up.

My chicken burger was served on a white hamburger bun with sliced red tomatoes and garden fresh lettuce. I added an ear of fresh corn on the cob to round out the meal.

Taste Test

The plant-based chicken burger was very tender and actually did taste like chicken. It made a great chicken burger sandwich. My family also thought the taste was chicken-like.

So by the power of plants, our meal today helps boost our health and save the world by using less meat.
