We drove by the Mosaic District in Fairfax today. This area is advertised as an upscale shopping and dinning complex.
They offer free wi-fi, a farmer’s market with fresh produce and an art house.
The art house, built in 2012, consists of an eight-screen cinema showing the highest quality art and specialty films.
The art house uses the latest in digital projection. The theater seats are comfortable and plush.
Unusual Holiday Moose DecorationsIf you look closely at the photographs, you will see the unusual holiday moose decorations.
This moss green moose is standing on two hind feet.
The moose in the top photograph is wearing a long red plaid scarf.
The trees are decorated by wrapping many layers of lights on the trunk and branches.
It was pretty cold today, so I didn’t see too many people enjoying this outdoor rest and dinning area.
There are tables and chairs scattered throughout this patio area.
Outdoor Rest and Dinning Area Candy Cane DecorationsThis photograph shows another eye catching holiday decoration using large candy canes to spell out the word “JOY”.
The “O” in JOY was made by shaping the candy canes into a heart shape.
The Mosaic district was built with careful attention to details.
For example, the sidewalks are extra wide, there is convenient seating located throughout, and the area has high heel-friendly sidewalks.
Parking garages are well-lite and let you know in real-time how many parking spaces are left on each level of the garage.
Planters Near Blocked Off StreetDue to COVID-19, I did not get out of the car to check out any of the restaurants or shops but I would love to next time.
All photographs in today’s blog were taken from the safety of my vehicle.
The Mosaic District also has a Williams Sonoma store. I can hardly wait to shop in all my favorite shops again.
