Kitchen Clean Up – Polishing Pots and Pans
This holiday season, your pots and pans were busy serving up lots of delicious meals. You probably didn’t think too much about it.
With the new year here, now is the the perfect time to get out the polishing powder and give them a nice shining.
Scrubbing and Polishing Pots and Pans with a Paper TowelI use a powdered cleanser which has been around for years. I think it was used in bars for clean up.
It works great on stainless steel, porcelain, ceramics, copper, brass, etc.
I always wear rubber gloves and scrub with a toss away paper towel.
Scrubbing the Pan with an old ToothbrushI like to use an old toothbrush to get the grime out of the edges and nooks.
When you are done scrubbing and polishing be sure to wash each item with soapy water and rinse with clean water. Make sure all traces of the scrubbing powder are gone.
Scouring the Kitchen SinkOne last job to make the kitchen cleaner, is to scrub the kitchen sink with the same cleanser, wash, and rinse well.
If you see a film over the kitchen sink, wash and rinse the sink again.
Don’t reuse the paper towel, toss.
Shiny Pots and Pans After PolishingNow you have a kitchen sink full of clean and shiny pots and pans.
Dry each one and put away until you need them for another cooking adventure.
