The third Sunday in July is known as National Ice Cream Day. In fact, the month of July is known as the National Ice Cream Month.
In 1984, President Ronald Reagan proclaimed the third Sunday of July as National Ice Cream Day with July being National Ice Cream Month.
However, Reagan wasn’t the only US president to enjoy ice cream. Thomas Jefferson actually had a recipe to make vanilla ice cream. Ice cream was also enjoy by inventor Benjamin Franklin.
When friends and family get together, it’s always nice to have ice cream for dessert. My favorite flavor–chocolate!
