Today we picked up a cake to celebrate our anniversary.   We stopped in this bakery which is one of our favorite places to get lavishly decorated cakes.

I removed some of my original photographs from this blog story so the photograph above is from my table at home.  I now have a better understanding of public and private domains.

The bakery is advertised as an European bakery.

It is actually hard to select a cake since everything looks good to eat and the variety is quite large.

We ended up selecting a German Chocolate Cake with three layers of chocolate goodness to it.  You only need to serve a small slice since the chocolate is so decadent.  Their German Chocolate Cake has two coconut and pecan layers of at least one-half inches thick.

The store always sells plates of nicely wrapped cookies each with a gift tag attached.

If you don’t have time to make cookies and need to bring a plate, this is a perfect solution.

There is a window display shelf holding a variety of faux wedding or specialty cakes that you can order.

One cake is decorated with a rainbow and stars.  It would be perfect for a little girl’s birthday.  The store, also, sells little girl’s tea sets.  How cute.

The store offers a variety of breakfast rolls, muffins and croissants.

They also sell hot coffee to go with those delicious breakfast items.

Everything in the this bakery/coffee shop looks yummy.

One of these days, I am going to try one of those mini cakes.
