I spent most of the morning out doing errands, shopping, and getting things done but now I’m blogging about technology now.
I haven’t yet decided if technology, in general is good or bad, I guess one has to think about it separately every case.
My Morning and Technology
Initially, I wanted to get a state inspection on my car, but I found the line was too long, so I decided to do other errands and circle back.
I decided then to do the second errand on my list which was to get a vaccine booster inoculation. This was the first time I pre-arranged a vaccine booster online at a local drug store.
Generally, I just walk in and see if they are busy. But I found out, by registering online ahead of time, things got done much quicker. There was also no waiting as they were expecting me. I love that they are respecting my valuable time. So, technology is a good thing in this case.
Technology Now and Checking Out
While still in the drug store, I decided to shop a bit, I needed a few things. I know I signed up on the system for a lot of coupons, so I wanted to use the self-check-out system to pay for my goods and use my online coupons. OK, things started out pretty good. I scanned in my card and proceeded to check things out. The system showed a listing of the coupons off I could use. Naturally, I clicked on everything I could use. To encourage vaccines, the store also gave out a coupon for more savings. Wow, lots of coupons for me. I proceeded to scan the big coupon and tried to then push it in the slot; however, something was amiss. The system said I needed help. The store employee came over to fix the checkout machine. OK, it seems the trouble was I used too many coupons, and the last savings coupon would make the goods less than zero dollars.
So, I decided to keep that big coupon and come back another time and use it but I still got to use coupons on the other things I purchased.
Technology Now at the State Inspection
By, this time, the state inspection bay was free of most cars. It’s a good time to go.
I was quickly able to move my car through with no issues.
However, as I decided to drive home, I didn’t get any farther than a few feet from the inspection station when I head a beep, beep, beep.
I decided to keep driving and figure out the beeping at home. Initially, I thought it was an issue with the air bags. That was the only light on. Naturally, after looking around, I couldn’t find that air bag on button as they showed on an online photo.

OK, Back to the State Inspection Station on Technology Now
Out of options, I finished lunch and headed back to the State Inspection Station. The inspector approached my car noted the hood was slight open, pushed it closed, then sat in my car. He could find nothing wrong, didn’t know what I was talking about and suggested if there was still an issue to take it to their repair shop.
Well, easy fix, when he pushed the hood totally shut the beeping noise stopped. You guessed it, the beeping indicated an open door or hood in this case.
When he pushed the hood closed, the car stopped beeping and was fine from then on out.
Ending Notes on Technology Now
Technology is good but I sometimes become think maybe we have gone too far. Is there too much technology on new cars?
Yes, remember I’m, also, the person with the new car and the flat battery. I called road rescue twice to have my battery charged.
With my new car, according to the car dealer, I needed a new battery as I didn’t drive it enough to charge the battery. The many options depending on the battery drained it.
Some days, technology is great, other days, I am getting tired of technology of the newest and the best. What do FMB Readers think?
