It is that time of year for the 2023 Washington DC Auto Show. Unfortunately, I couldn’t attend the event, so what’s in today’s blog is only a secondhand accounting of things.
The event was held at the Washington Convention Center over several days in downtown Washington, DC, so everyone that wanted to go, could attend. The last day it was open was on January 29th. Buying a ticket was required for entrance. However, they did have one free day for veterans.
The Auto Show had autos with custom paint jobs, unusual vehicles, experimental graphics, and brand new cars.
New at the Auto Show?
One new car shopper felt there was probably fewer vehicles on the display floor. However, they are only guesstimating so I’m not sure if that is true or not.
Another attendee, was impressed with a $13,000 bicycle and watercrafts such as canoes. So, it was a little bit of something for everyone and definitely more than just cars.
Toyotas vehicles had a big display and they now make a new Toyota Crown vehicle.
Ending Comments
Unfortunately, there didn’t seem to be a lot of free car-related merchandise as there was in previous years. Sadly, two the the attendees did not come back with t-shirts or baseball caps. Everyone loves those freebies.
In conclusion, it was nice window shopping for a new car and seeing all the new vehicles. Once again, there was excitement on the convention sales floor. There is also the fact that one could get a close up view of the cars and sit in some vehicles. Of course, not everyone who attends the auto show wants to purchase a vehicle, some people just love new cars.
But one thing for sure is, after COVID, it’s nice to get out and attend the 2023 DC Auto Show again.
Love those New Cars!
