Today I found this Southern Belle with a basket planter at my local church run charity store. Apparently from my internet research, she is a Hull 954 USA Lady with basket made in the 1940’s.
I love her large red hat and flowing red ribbon belt. She is looking down as she holds a large basket and a few flowers in her other hand. It would be best to display her on a top shelf so she can look down at you.
The red paint is worn off in many places as well as the details of her face. Her lush brown hair pops out of the hat and her blue eyes are faint but still present. She is free of cracks and chips.
I thought I would give her as a gift to a friend who likes vintage items.
