I’m on a vintage fashion blogging spree right now, so I’m continuing to write about some older items I have stashed away.
I’m not sure what one considers to be a vintage fashion accessory, but I think my Readers will enjoy today’s blog.
Vintage Belt BuckleThe photograph on the left, shows a gold tone belt buckle which originally was attached to a black leather belt.
The belt became too small, too many goodies, so I got rid of the belt. However, I kept the free form gold-tone belt buckle.
It’s a heavy weight and can be attached to another belt.
The below photograph shows a vintage costume-jewelry bamboo bracelet.
It was made from a real piece of bamboo which was shaped, glued together at the ends, and then varnished.
The bracelet is so old that the clear varnish is cracking slightly but I still like the natural look.
Also in the photograph, is a plastic wood toned hair clip and a vintage aluminum travel soap box.
I use the vintage soap box to hold my hair clips. I thought I would include it since it is unusual. I don’t remember where I found it but it probably was a second hand store and I’ve had it since I was single.
Vintage Fashion AccessoriesNot sure if the vintage soap box would still work as a travel soap container due to all the restrictions on travel anymore.
The below photograph shows a padded velvet head band. If you don’t have time to fix your hair you can just add this attractive head band. Black velvet also goes with most outfits from fancy dresses to jeans.
The two decorative shoe clips are made with a steel clip. They have a black bow and a gold center. The metal clips attach to the back and front of each shoe. They work great to add pop to a plain pair of pumps.
The shoe clips are removeable so you could remove them if you wanted to look more business-like.
I actually purchased white satin shoe clips to add to my plain white satin wedding shoes.
With shoe clips, old shoes get new life.
Velvet Head Band and Shoe ClipsThe black and white fringed scarf in the background is not vintage. It’s a great smaller size and look to wear around your neck or purse.
I purchased it in a Chico’s store.
Jennifer M.,
Thank you for reading our blog. I recently visited your European upscale faucet and sink web site. Everything your company produces looks clean, elegant, and of high quality. Your web site looks great, however, I noticed one word and period was missing in your web site text.
“Stainless steel does not contain any harmful contaminants and is not susceptible to (blank ?)” You also need a period to end this sentence. I thought I would point that out.
Enjoy your day.

Jerrell,
Thanks for the nice note about our “superb” blog. You are so nice. Your question about how to get centered and clear your head for blogging is a good one. Before I start a blog entry, I almost always have a photograph or two to include with that blog. That gets me thinking about what I want to say about it. It, also, takes me a while to read through what I’ve written, move things around, and do general editing. I hope this helps and good luck with your blog.

M.K.,
Thanks for your thoughts on car maintenance. Not sure if car maintenance tips and fashion accessories go together? Enjoy the day.

Wow! I loved your super nice comment! If my Polish translation is correct, your comment is, “Great ideas cost pennies. People who make it real are important. Your blog is a great example of this.” Thank you for reading our postings. We love all our FMB Readers!

Mason,
I get lots and lots of questions regarding setting up blogging sites. I use a theme for my web site so my header is already set up for me. I have photoshop but I use my camera and web site to do most of my editing. Good luck getting your header up and happy blogging. What’s the name of your blog?
