Valentine’s Day Decorations, Inexpensive and Cute!
I thought I would show my Readers my Valentine’s Day table decorations.
These photographs were taken of my dining room table.
I wanted to keep things inexpensive but still festive.
Notice that the flowers in the vase are not expensive red roses but instead are “filler” flowers or red carnations. The small white flowers are Baby’s Breath or Gypsophila.
I have added two beaded flower picks to the vase which I previously picked up on sale in the floral department of a grocery store.
If you look closely, you will also see in the flower vase two red heart flower picks.
The clear flower vase is hand cut heavy leaded crystal from Czechoslovakia. My cousin gave this to me as a wedding gift.
The table is covered with a vintage table cloth printed with red and blue tea pots, sugar bowls and creamers. Very kitchen cozy looking and definitely well loved!
Candles always make a nice statement and are a romantic touch to your table. The heart shaped red candle holders and slender candles were purchased from Williams-Sonoma.
The two red candles are in non matching clear glass candle stick holders.
Valentine’s Day Paper PlacematsThe heart shaped paper placemats were purchased second hand in the junk store for a dollar on one of my previous shopping trips.
I liked the gold imprinted wording the placemats. Also, they are made to be used once and tossed. No washing needed after the holiday.
That package also included the small confetti which were randomly scattered hearts on the tablecloth.
Happy Valentine’s Day Glitter Hanging BannerThis hanging Happy Valentines’ Day banner is glittered coated and comes on a hanging red ribbon
I purchased it last year and it looks great hanging on my china cabinet doors.
It is light weight and can be hung just about anywhere in your home.
Valentine’s Day Table Setting with Red Table RunnerThis photograph shows the same setting but the vintage table cloth was removed and a red table runner was added. The table runner has a gold pattern running through it.
The red tischlaufer or table runner is from Germany.
I like the way the light is reflected in the heart shaped mini candle holders.
Cupid Cut Outs Valentine’s Day Decorations Plastic Heart Shaped BoxesI previously purchased a package of red and pink plastic hearts from the dollar store.
They are cute printed with various sayings on them and look very similar to candy hearts.
In this photograph, I have the hearts displayed on an elevated bamboo cake stand.
You can fill the candy hearts with inexpensive candy such as jelly beans or place special “I Love You” notes in them.
There were a few flowers with broken stems that I didn’t want to toss out. I got out a small vintage “pigeon blood” vase and arranged the broken stems in that.
Try some thing different for Valentine’s Day, use candy hearts, and add flowers to have an enchanting day.
Happy Valentines Day!
