We were on way our back from from the casino in Charles Town, when we stopped at the Stoneybrook Farm Market. As it turns out, it is not only a farmer’s market but also a restaurant.
The front porch has been converted into a cozy, country dining nook complete with wooden fruit basket lamp shades and a wood burning stove.
Dining area also has easy to love rocking chairs and indoor plants.
There is also a small patio if you would prefer to eat outside to enjoy the lovely day.
The pleasant outdoor patio has umbrella-shaded tables and lots of flowers and shrubbery.
Menu Selection at the Stoneybrook Farm Market
So, there was not only freshly baked goods on the menu. You could order a sandwich or pasta for lunch and something to drink.
We ordered a large raspberry muffin to share on the front porch which was placed neatly in a brown paper box. The muffin was full of sweet raspberries and had a nice topping on it.
Apparently, this market is part of a Yellow Deli franchise. The person who waited on us, showed me a card with all the Yellow Deli locations around the world. France, Spain, Japan and Australia are a few of the countries with Yellow Delis.
On the farmers market side of things, they have jars of honey, jams, homemade soap and baskets. I noticed a freezer area with different cuts of meat and chicken.
Ending Notes
It was a nice traveling break to stop and rest at the Stoneybrook Farm Market which is on Charles Town Pike in Hillsboro, VA.
This is, also, a great place to shop for unique gift items.
A Special Thank You goes out to Jim, working the counter, for allowing me to take photographs and to blog about the farmers market/restaurant.
