Wolf Trap Tickets

This is a Big Thank You blog to unknown person who went on Facebook and gave away to two free Kenny Loggins Wolf Trap tickets to the first person who contacted them. Yes, the person who gave away the expensive tickets ($45 each) did not know me, nor do I know who they are. In fact, I’m not even the person they gave them to. This person texted the tickets to them and that person gave the free tickets to FMB to use.

I’m not sure why this person was not able to attend, but we really appreciated the tickets and had a magical time at Wolf Trap with Kenny and his “This is It” performance.

The Concert with the Wolf Trap Tickets

When we first presented the tickets on our phone at the entrance gate, there was an issue. We explained they were free tickets and we were not sure they were even real. We were referred to another gentleman who sent us to the ticket counter. The issue was they were too dark to be read by the scanner. The lady at the ticket counter was super nice about the whole thing, giving us paper tickets to scan and we re-entered the gate.

We put up our lawn chairs, there wasn’t much time before the opening band started. It was pretty crowded but people attending the event were respectful.

The opening band with Kenny was the Yacht Rock Revue. I noted several people in the crowd wearing white yacht hats and I assume they were some of the fans from Yacht Rock Revue.

Kenny Loggins sang many of his hits like–This is It, Footloose, I’m Alright, Danger Zone, and House at Pooh Corner.

He said he wrote House at Pooh Corner when he was only 17. The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band wanted to sing the song, but the Pooh rights were owned by Disney. Kenny, was dating a girl from Anaheim, CA who, unknowingly, turned out to be the daughter of the CEO of Disney. So, things were worked out and Kenny could sing his song.

When Footloose was played, a lot of the audience got up and danced.

Kenny’s performance was mesmerizing, and I loved his rock, pop, and folk soft rock.

Ending Notes

So, thank you so much to the person who gave us the tickets. We enjoyed the concert.

Another totally selfless act of generosity. Thanks from FMB.
