I recently ate lunch at a nearby Sonic Burger location. It’s a little bit of drive for us, but the day was gorgeous and nice for a ride.
What is different about Sonic Burger is that they generally do not have an indoor dining area. There are two options for this, one, pull up to one of their order stations and sit in your car and eat or, two, take your meal to the outdoor white picnic tables and eat there. Your order will be brought to the car by one of their workers or carhops.
According to their online website Sonic goes back to 1953 and were known for customers placing food orders without leaving the car. I’ve been to other Sonic locations where the carhops still wore roller skates to bring your meal out.
I’m a little messy when I eat in the car, so we decided to dine at one of the outdoor picnic areas.
These outdoor tables and benches give on a sense of a picnic. In particular, there is also artificial green turf under the tables.
I noticed this bean bag toss game which was near the tables. However, I think you have to ask for the bean bags to play the game because I didn’t see any.
What’s on the Menu at Sonic Burger?
This fast food restaurant had quite a few items on the menu. Not only do they serve burgers and fries, but also hot dogs, corn dogs, soft pretzels, mozzarella sticks, pickle fries, grilled cheese sandwiches, etc.
They also offer quite a few different soft drinks and shakes. Some of the flavors were lemonade Cream Cooler, Rainbow Slush, Grape Escape, etc.
Ending Notes on Sonic Burger Lunch
I enjoyed my lunch. I had a burger and tater tot meal with a diet cola soft drink.
But soon, it was time to return home, so off we drove looking for another adventure.
