Burgers at the Sonic Drive-In

Waiting in Drive Through Waiting in Drive Through

It was a do nothing kind of Sunday but, of course, with COVID-19, there generally is not much to do.

We decided to go out for a burger.  This burger place is a little bit of drive, but the burgers are good.

They also sell onion rings, tater tots, a variety of unusual cold drinks and ice cream.

The above photograph shows the patio area.

I wasn’t sure if the patio was open as there was no one using it.

Sonic Burger was founded in 1953 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.  They are known for their carhops on roller skates.

They also host an annual competition, in most areas, to determine the top skating carhop.

You park in a certain area for carhop service.

Sure enough, I saw a carhop bringing out an order wearing roller skates.

The drive through was super busy but the cars were moving along.

Our order was accurate, fresh, and tasty.

We drove to an empty parking lot and ate our meal there while sitting in the car.

We removed the burgers from the bags and used our own paper plates.  We poured the soda into our own disposable plastic cups.

In summing up, this burger place is a little bit of drive with traffic.  There is also quite a bit of road work going on in this area.  However, the food was good and I enjoyed the dinner.

In this last photograph I was going for an artistic touch with lots of electrical wires and blue sky.  What do Farmhouse Magic Blog readers think?

  1. Den. and Sam,
Thanks for reading Farmhouse Magic Blog. Some comments state my site is fast and some say it is slow. Not sure what to think about that one. Enjoy and stay safe.
