My car seems to automatically stop at the ReStore shop because who can resist their everyday bargains.
Fire Hose Nozzles
They had some very unusual things in their shop today. The first item I want to blog about is this box of red fire hose nozzles.
I’m not a fire or rescue person, so I’m hoping someone will correct me if make any mistakes when blogging about these items.
I picked up the one nozzle made by Wilco Fire. It is advertised as being made of high grade materials to withstand impact falls.
The photograph on the left, shows an assortment of fire hose nozzles.
I believe these fire hose nozzles were used in a commercial or industrial setting.
A couple of the fire hose nozzles were cut off from the white hoses and the nubs still remain attached to the nozzles.
The photograph on the right, is a close up of one of the nozzles in the box.
I believe it is made of thermoplastic.
Tuscany Blown Glass Punch Bowl Set
The below photograph of the Tuscany brand Blown Glass Punch Bowl was made in Romania and not in Tuscany. The set looks like it is brand new. The silver Tuscany labels are still attached to the punch bowl cups.
This set consists of a large punch bowl, cups, and a glass ladle for serving the punch. The set was made in a swirled pattern. The handles on the cups are made slightly larger on the bottom than the top.
It is definitely unusual to see a nicely-made glass ladle for serving punch or eggnog. To serve my punch, I use a clear plastic ladle I picked up in the grocery store. It is no way as nice as this one.
This punch bowl set would look wonderful on a holiday buffet table filled with punch. Add a nice ice ring and perhaps some cut oranges, lemons or pomegranate seeds.
This set is finely made so you need to take care while using it, otherwise, you’ll chip the rim of the punch bowl.
Also, looks like you will need to hand wash this one.
Pottery Barn Matching Wooden Chairs
Near the front door you will find two matching wooden chairs with arm rests. They have a label attached to them stating they are from the Pottery Barn store.
The chairs would work well in a number of places in a home–dining room, den, office, or flanking a side table.
Metal and Glass Topped Tray
I went to pick up this metal and glass topped tray and was completely surprised in how heavy it is.
The below photograph shows the detailed flower and leaf design edging the tray. The handles have a twisted pattern to them.
The tray is made out of heavy metal work in a scroll, leaf and flower design with a smoky colored glass inset.
It would make a nice patio piece.
So ends my trip to the ReStore shop in the Herndon/Reston area. Be sure to check out the above and other items which were for sale this week.
