Pumpkin Galore
Back to the big box store to purchase large paper bags for fallen leaves, garden top soil, and a fence post.
As always I’m drawn to the garden center.
Here I am checking out the assortment of pumpkins.
This photograph shows there are still plenty of pumpkins for your fall holiday decorations or for pumpkin carving.
The below photograph shows a large selection of pumpkins. The larger pumpkins appear to be the most popular size.
Assortment of Small Pumpkins Large Orange PumpkinsThe photograph on the right shows a front door autumn piece.
The sheaf of real wheat is decorated with artificial berries, corn cobs, and one small orange pumpkin.
A nice orange and green bow ties things up.
Front Door Fall DecorationPansies in Bloom
Below we see a photograph of racks of purple, yellow and white pansies with sunny “faces”.
Pansies are a cool-weather gardener’s choice. Pansies can survive cooler temperatures in the fall and spring. Select plants with lots of unopened buds for the best results.
Plant pansies in well drained organic soil. Plant in sun or partial shade.
Racks of Colorful PansiesPansies give the garden a pop of color in cold weather.
Pansies, also, look nice when also planted in large outdoor crocks.
Early Holiday Light Display
Today I couldn’t help noticing the nice winter light display in the store.
I know it’s a little early but everyone has “COVID fatigue”. We are tired of being alone, tired of being at home, tired of the schools and offices being closed, and perhaps a little bit blue.
This bright winter light display gives us hope that there is an end in sight and hope for another holiday season.
