Hamburgers for Dinner

I made onion hamburger patties for dinner the other night.

These huge hamburger patties have small bits of diced onion throughout the meat.

I like to serve my burgers with slices of tomatoes, fresh lettuce, pickles and catsup.  Purple cabbage coleslaw and canned baked beans also works well with the meal.

For dessert, there was pumpkin bread with a sprinkling of walnuts over the top.

In checking out some burger recipes, I noted one which suggested serving the burgers slathered in peanut butter & jelly, topped with a scoop of mac and cheese, or on a donut “bun”.

The above photograph shows a dinner plate full of unripe tomatoes.

I’ve been harvesting them while still green but they ripen quickly in the house.

I was able to slice up a couple of tomatoes for those onion burgers.
