Today the Virginia Psychic Fair is being held in Arlington. I’m thinking this sounds unusual, as I’ve never seen that advertised before. However, I’m not attending the event.
What is a Psychic Fair?
OK, I was a little curious about this too. According to this source, the Psychic Fair has readers of all types. I guess it all depends what you are in to.
The fair, also, sells arts, crafts, books, oils, crystals, sage bundles, herbs, jewelry, gemstones, candles and soaps.
They also offer a kit for blessing your house. I believe one method is to light up a stick of dried sage and take it around your home. I saw that once done on a TV reality show to “clear the air”.
Reading the Tea Leaves
Years ago, a bunch of the single gals from work decided to go and visit a lady who was reported to know about tea leaves and such. I guess we were curious about when we would meet our husbands. Or if we were to get married at all. It seems like a real deal for only $10 each.
It was a little bit like the old parlor games they played years ago. For example, if one tossed a long apple peel over the left shoulder, it would fall into the initial of the last name of the person you were to marry. I guess the parlor games were much more popular with the girls than the guys.
So, we had an appointment at this lady’s house. I believe, we all drank a cup of tea or was it coffee? The bottom of the cup apparently told the story.
My gal pal went first. She was apparently going to meet a special guy at a round table. And for years later, she was still waiting for that person at that round table. I’m not sure if that happened or not as I have long lost touch with her.
As for myself, I don’t remember much about it but to each its own. It was fun to get the girls together and to dream a bit of our futures.
Ending Notes on the Psychic Fair
Well, so ends another Farmhouse Magic blog with the power to amuse and amaze my Readers.
