Wow, a new Sheetz Store on Mclearn Road in Herndon. I know Sheetz as fast food and gas convenience stores. So, this location is definitely in my range. In fact, today we stopped in to get a cup of coffee as we saw it was open for business. However, we were told the actual grand store opening is on the 30th.

Apparently, the first Sheetz store was started in the Altoona, PA area. Now they are located in different areas and states. But, the store in Herndon is the closest to Farmhouse Magic Blog’s blogdom.
Sheetz’s website states their mission statement is to provide fast, friendly service selling quality products in a clean and convenient location.
My Visit to the New Sheetz Store
This was our first visit to this Sheetz store but we previously had been in other Sheetz stores. To us, their coffee is usually very good. Everything in this store is brand new and very clean. There were only a few customers in the store and parking lot.
The Sheetz employees are, also, very friendly asking me about my day. When I asked if I could take any photographs at this new store, the answer was no. Apparently, they have to ask their corporate office for photographic permission. So, FMB Readers, following their wishes, there are no photos on today’s blog taken at this location.
We both went to the coffee station for a cup of coffee. One coffee station needed to be reset and I did not want to wait for this. Therefore, I got a cup of regular coffee. However, the one employee came immediately to the coffee station to take care of this. I was, also, checking out the fresh pastry counter and every thing looked yummy.
My coffee out of a machine, was hot, and quickly brewed. They have the usual coffee creamers, sugar, red stirrers so, you can get the type of coffee you drink. In fact, we both really enjoyed our freshly brewed coffees.
Inside they have a large selection of merchandise and a food counter. They even have some tables and chairs indoors, so you eat your meal inside.
Outside, they have tables and chairs with umbrellas. That’s a real plus for me since I like to drink my coffee in the shade. I noticed some tables are marked for handicapped seating. So, a person in a wheelchair can roll up to the table and enjoy their coffee, too.
Not only do they have many gas pumps, but also some electronic car recharging stations. This is important for those on the road.
Ending Notes on new Sheetz Store
I definitely will return to this Sheetz location and enjoy more coffee or other food items.
I’m sure the grand opening will bring lots of people to check out this new Sheetz Store.
