Here at Farmhouse Magic Blog we tested out a new drone.
Unfortunately, the old drone flew into the neighbor’s yard and we were unable to spot it so it was lost. It was also difficult to control when a part of the control broke off.
The above photograph shows the new drone which was expensive priced at over $1,000.
However, it is well worth it since the video footage is excellent.
There was one mishap with the new drone as it ran into a light pole and needed to be returned to the company for repairs totaling approximately $100. We also were charged $20. for new propellers which we did not receive.
Drone Landing PadIf you operate this drone near an airport or in a controlled airspace, then you must receive airspace authorization prior to operation. The done will not fly without it.
Airspace authorization comes with altitude limitations. In our area, it is 30 feet high and then was limited to our backyard.
There are a lot of rules with this new drone. Our drone airman is studying the information to get a license to fly the drone.
The above photograph shows the new drone’s landing pad. It will automatically land on this small square.
We had the landing pad too close to the house, so we need to move it elsewhere next time.
New Drone with Improved Video CameraThe limited video taken with this drone is excellent. It’s interesting to see how things look from a higher view.
This drone is also able to keep itself in one spot even with winds up to 20 MPR.
For now, let’s hope for no more drone accidents.
Disclaimer: I’m not a licensed drone airman, so there might be some mistakes given with today’s blog. Please check with the Federal Aviation Administration or online sources for drone rules and regulations.
