Nails at the ReStore

Because FMB is always so very practical, I’ve decided to entitle todays’ blog Nails at the ReStore. Of course, the nails we are talking about is a simple strip of nails used in a nail gun at a construction site. I absolutely love the composition of this photograph with the strips of nails.

So what other things have I noted at the ReStore on today’s shopping trip. Well, read on below for more information.

Interesting Items for Sale at the ReStore

Glass Topped Table with Wrought Iron Base

This small glass topped table caught my eye because the glass topping was so thick. The table has a wrought iron base. It’s very sturdy and looks heavy. There are a few small chips on the one bottom side. Other than that, the table seems in relatively good condition. I, also, liked the clean lines. The ReStore price is reasonable at $35.

Triumph American Limoges Dishes

There is a boxed selection of Triumph American Limoges dishes in the ReStore today.

Triumph American Limoges dishes were made out of Serring, Ohio. The pattern is Vermillion Rose and the dishes are edged in warranted 22K gold. My online research, shows the warranted 22K gold means the gold is guaranteed to be of a certain purity or 22K. Warranted gold is warranted for a period of time, usually 20 years, not to wear away.

The photograph on the left, shows a Triumph American Limoges bowl in the Vermillion pattern. A single orange pink rose is in the center of this dishware. The edge is trimmed in gold. Research shows it was probably made in the 1950’s.

So, I was little puzzled about the name of this dishware since the term Limoges is used in the company’s name. Because, this makes one think that the dishware is associated Limoges from France. Real Limoges has a translucency when held to the light and it is a desirable trait. That name is well known for quality.

Initially, this company called itself the Sterling China Company and started back in 1901. However, American made china was not selling. In 1904, in a clever marketing tactic, the company changed it name to Limoges China Company. From then on, sales took off. Eventually, the company went out of business in 1955.

Aluminum Chair with Orange Webbing

I like this aluminum chair with orange webbing because it is well made. Of course, when the webbing wore out it could also be replaced giving the chair an extra long life.

This fold up aluminum chair with orange webbing is light to carry and the store. I remember my uncle always had a couple of these chairs strapped on the outside of his camper.

Nails for Nail Gun

This box of nail strips for a nail gun caught my attention. I liked how bright the nails looked. Of course if you are into construction, this might be something to look at next time you are the ReStore.

But I have to warn everyone, things in the ReStore go in and out very quickly.
