While out shopping this morning, I noted a mom and son shopping in the grocery store with a mini shopping cart. This cute green shopping cart is the right size for those kids wanting to help mom shop.
I noted the shopping duo in the produce section of the store. Mom, of course, was keeping a close eye on her young shopper. However, the young shopper did a pretty good job of following mom. At that age, children have an invisible bond to mom, so mom can never get too far away.
Yes, the cart looks pretty much like regular cart except it is a bright green color.

Memories of Shopping
Years ago, when I when shopping, they had a cute blue shopping cart shaped like a car complete with a non-operating steering wheel. Of course, the child could turn the steering wheel right or left but it wouldn’t do anything.
My friend, of course, thought he was actually operating the “vehicle” and took great pains to make sure it was on the right track. He had an intense look on his face. He even would carefully look to see if there was enough room to pass or get through a small or congested area. I gave him an A plus for shopping cart driving.
Ending Comments on the Mini Shopping Cart
And so that was a nice memory of shopping with my friend. Actually, he really wasn’t much of shopper, but he like to drive that shopping cart. I remember at least one time; I had to leave the store mid shopping because I couldn’t get things under control.
However, that is the way it goes with young children. Sometimes they like to shop, and other times forget it.
Well, it looks like today’s mom and little shopper got things accomplished because I noted their cute shopping cart in the pick-up section of the parking lot.
