Merrifield Garden Center Visit
Today I stopped in the Merrifield Garden Center, my favorite garden boutique shop, to look at their holiday decorations.
What I noticed about their Christmas tree display is that the top of each tree is elaborately decorated. It is not just a single star or angel topper. Every top makes a “statement”. One tree actually, had three large reindeer circling the top.
Notice on this photograph how that one gold ribbon curls around several times before gently falling to the bottom of the tree.
I think I am going to try that with my Christmas tree this year.
This tree also has a variety of gold star ornaments on the branches. The large pink ribbon bow makes the tree stand out.
Decorated Artificial Christmas Tree Pink Flamingo Artificial Christmas TreeI nick named this tree the “Pink Flamingo” Artificial Christmas Tree.
Again, notice the top of the tree decked out in multiple ribbons, roses, and other items.
This tree would make a perfect addition for a little girl’s room or for anyone who likes pink or flamingos.
Of course, the obvious place for this tree would be in South America where the flamingos roam free.
The photograph on the right of the vintage piano shows it is being used as a backdrop for the Christmas decorations and other items.
I wonder if it still plays music?
Any one for a holiday song?
Vintage Piano used in Christmas Decor Small Tabletop Artificial Christmas TreeThe photograph on the left, shows a small artificial tabletop tree with red, green and silver bulbs.
The small tree has a vintage “bristle brush” look and would work well on a dinning room table or a fireplace mantle.
Also, displayed on the table is an assortment of holiday merchandise.
Photographs of a variety of live holiday plants and decorations.
A Row of Artificial Trees with LightsThe photograph on the left shows a row of artificial Trees with lights.
The tree nearest to the camera has wonderful bright blue lights.
Also, notice the smaller silver Christmas tree peeking out.
The bright lights on the boughs reminds me of the stars in the sky.
Retro Looking Silver Christmas Tree
The photograph on the right shows a close up of that vintage silver tree. The silver look was popular around the 1950’s.
I actually own a vintage 1950’s silver tree but the ends need to be glued back on .
Of course, it doesn’t look nearly as lush as this tree with its many branches and lights.
This is a lovely little tree for someone who adores the color silver, has space considerations or doesn’t have the time to decorate a large tree.
Tree with Silver Vintage LookVintage Sparkler Christmas Tree
I decided to locate my 1950’s aluminum Sparkler Christmas Tree.
The below photographs shows a few of the branches of my aluminum Christmas Tree and the original box.
The last time I had it up was in my bedroom. It can only hold a few bulbs and no light strings. Ornaments tend to slide off if they are too heavy or the branches fall off.
It has the original price tag on the box of $4.29. I think I paid $3.50 for it in the church’s resale shop.
