So this weekend, we were out grocery store shopping and stopped in a restaurant known as Jollibee. Because this is a new restaurant, we had never been there before. However, we were previously informed that this restaurant sells Philippian street food which we were curious about. Unfortunately, we only wanted a cold soda and previously had lunch.
As we entered the Jollibee, we noted outside the store a large red, yellow, and white Jollibee mascot shaped as a bee without a stinger. The figure stands on a medium blue stand and wears a white hat and gloves.
Facts on Jolllibee Restaurants
Jollibee Restaurants are a division of Jollibee Foods Corporation. According to their website they have over 100 stores in Northern America. They are also celebrating their 25 year anniversary here.
Apparently, there are over 1,200 stores worldwide. Their stores want to “spread of the joy of eating”.
This large wall mural tells of a “World of Joy”. I, believe these are the world-wide locations of Jollibee Restaurants.
Menu Offerings at Jollibee Restaurants
The menu states the store sells fried chicken, burgers, and spaghetti. However, the Chickenjoy, their signature fried chicken, is probably what they are best known for. The fried chicken has a crispy exterior and apparently is marinated in a special sauce.
The burgers are sold without a bun with a mushroom gravy over the them. However, a side of white rice and/or mashed potatoes with gravy are also available. Jollibee Restaurant’s spaghetti is a sweet-style and they also offer peach mango fried hand pies made with real Philippine mangoes.
Ending Notes on Jollibee Restaurant Visit
In addition, there seems to be quite a few employees behind the counter and everyone was friendly and very nice.
So, next time I visit, I think I will order a meal instead of only soda. Thinking of trying their signature chicken meal.

Update: 5-8-2024 – With all this talk about the Jollibee, the technical director and myself yesterday ate lunch there. I must say the peach mango dessert pie was delicious!
