I Ordered What?

I Ordered What?

I Ordered What, is all I could say about the item that arrived in the mail for me. Take a good look at the below photograph and see what you come up with.

Toilet Repair in I Ordered What

First of all, please, let me explain. I often do my own toilet repairs. I find most of the repairs easy to do and it saves me a lot of money in the long run. So, the one toilet I noticed was running and running. In taking off the tank lid, I noted the red flapper part was old looking and probably not sticking to the bottom of the toilet like it should. Thus, it allowed water to seep through. You can also mark the top water line after a flush. Then check back later to see if the water level has dropped. If it has, you might need a new flapper depending on your toilet parts.

Fortunately, I was able to go online to pick out a replacement flapper part. Yes, this was going to save me a trip to the local hardware store.

Sensor Assembly for Urinal Flush Valve

Yikes, I wasn’t even sure what arrived in the mail for me. But, of course, this isn’t the flapper I ordered. On the box, it was listed as a sensor assembly for a urinal flush valve. It is made in Germany. So, this clears up the mystery on I Ordered What.

I’ve, actually never heard of a senor for a urinal flush valve.

Urinal Flush Valve

So doing little online research, I found a sensor flush uses infrared sensors to detect motion above the cistern and automatically reduces the need for physical contact. It is not only more hygienic for the user but also is easier for a person with limited dexterity to operate. Flushometers are used in commercial restrooms to save water. However, I really do not think too many people have urinals in their private homes.
