Merrifield Garden is always one of my favorite places to visit during the holiday season and do my holiday shopping for 2021.
Magical Holiday Displays
During this special time, the garden center takes on the look of a magical holiday escape set the middle of a busy urban area.
I love the shy smiles on these happy snowmen in the photograph on the left.
Each snowmen holds a small holiday tree.
Pink Amaryllis
Below is a photograph of a slightly pink amaryllis with showy large blooms.
My mother had a gorgeous red amaryllis plant which she kept for many years but never a pink one.
The garden center always has a large selection of healthy looking holiday plants.
The photograph on the right shows a large light pink amaryllis in bloom in a square terracotta planter.
Holly Light Fixture Delights in Holiday Shopping for 2021
The below photograph of the impressive light fixture really reminds me of an old fashion Christmas. It is the first thing you notice when you walk in to the inside portion of the garden center.
The holly light fixture looks like it was made out of a wire base with burlap strips or ribbon forming the shade part of the fixture. The ends of the burlap are fringed.
Around the top and base of the fixture, are holly sprigs with red berries. I believe the holly sprigs are artificial.
However, I don’t believe it is for sale.
Colorful Poinsettias
There is also a variety of poinsettias available for purchase.
I read that “Poinsettia Day” is on December the 12th.
I believe these large poinsettias are priced at $49.99.
Ending Thoughts of the Day
Wishing you a wonderful holiday season full of love, happiness, good will, and helping others.
Always take a little time out of your day for a break and to truly enjoy the meaning of the holiday.
