Goodwill Wedding Dress
Today I went shopping at the local Goodwill to see if they had anything of interest. I noticed this wedding dress prominently displayed which is quite lovely with all the lacy beading and delicate veil. Not sure of the price.
I paid $150 for my wedding dress years ago. I wore a bridesmaid’s dress which I fancied up a little and a homemade veil. Instead of paying thousands of dollars on a dress, why not put the money towards a down payment on a house, pay off school loans or buy a new car?
The only issue in buying this wedding dress is that you would need to be of a very small size perhaps a size 7 and very short.
Colorful Bongo DrumsThese bongo drums are unique. You rarely see any type of musical instruments in the second hand stores.
They are probably worth more than the price tag of $4.99.
The print on the bongo drums is very colorful showing a montage of different people.
New Shortcake PanThe store has a large collection of pots, pans, and baking items.
This is a photograph of a new shortcake pan. I think it sounds like a delicious cake to make.
It is not strawberry season but I guess you could use your pan to make other small cakes.
A Shelf of Baskets Blue Jeans – Large Selection Shelves of Red Colored Home GoodsThis photograph shows shelves of red colored home goods with some items related to Valentine’s Day but others are just bright red.
The two block shaped lamps on the top shelf are interesting. I like the gold and red pattern.
It would add a nice pop of red into your environment. However, the lamps are missing lamp shades and these can be expensive to replace. Something to think about before buying.
Expect the Unexpected
I think my blog today shows to expect the unexpected in second hand stores. Who would think to look for a wedding dress in the Goodwill? Or that you could find bongo drums there?
New 100% Cotton Dish TowelsWhat did I Buy?
I found two new 100% cotton dish towels which were priced at only .99 cents each.
I’ve been trying to update my dish towels, so the price was right.
OR Scrub TopThis new OR scrub top is a very interesting item. It looks like a regular OR scrub top but actually is more souvenir or costume in nature.
The company that produces this shirt was founded in 1971 by two high school students in New York. The company sets up science fiction, horror and other conventions around the country.
They seem to have a big event in Las Vegas every year.
I am donating this top to the movie making producer I know to be used as a prop for filming. This top has a logo on it, but it can also be turned inside out.
