Going to the Dentist in COVID-19 Times

Waiting in Car for Appointment Waiting in Car for Appointment

I’ve been putting off going to the dentist due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Today I finally had an appointment to get my teeth cleaned and checked.

I was not allowed to come into the office.  I had to call first to see if it was alright for me to enter the office.  I saw other people waiting in their cars.

I, also, had to wear a mask in the office at all times.

My dental office then had me fill out a form asking if I were ill or had contact with anyone with COVID-19.  I had to sign and date the paper so it was pretty official.

I used my own pen to fill out the form but I noticed the office had a certain basket to place the pen in once you used it.  I guess they wiped the pens down after each use.

While the dentist cleaned my teeth, I had to place my mask over my nose.

My dentist was dressed in a blue gown, gloves, mask and wore a clear face shield.

The receptionist also wore a mask the whole time.

The dental office did not give out their usual complimentary toothbrush and toothpaste this time.

My teeth now are feeling pretty shiny and clean.

I’m also glad my dental office has such safe and clean dental practices.
