
Today’s blog photographs were taken at the garden center of a big box store.
Early blooming plants include the forsythia.
I once had a hedge of forsythia plants which needed constant trimming. I think the plant is happier when it can spread out preferably in a large space.
The forsythia’s bright yellow blooms are named after William Forsyth a Scottish botanist.



The above photograph shows a grouping of Pink Frost Lenten Rose plants.
I thought they were quite lovely and, of course, they are probably a cold resistant plant being sold this time of year.
The flowers are pink and large making the plant quite showy.
