Felt Choo Choo Train Craft Project
This felt choo choo train craft project is charming when hanging in the children’s room or play area.
I used colorful felt squares for the train. I made my own pattern by using slightly tapered rectangles for the train body. The wheels are circles and the windows are rectangles with the corners rounded off.
Back of Felt Train Craft ProjectA simple blanket stitch around the edges holds the pieces together. Both black and white thread was used for this project.
I got a length of cord from the craft store and knotted wooden beads on it to give it a cute look. I used hot glue to adhere the train to the cording. I also glued on large paper clips to aid in hanging up the train.
Felt Choo Choo TrainThe neat things about this craft project is you can make the train as long or as short as you want by adding or subtracting cars. It is also optional what colors of felt to use.
Felt is a pretty easy medium to work with is inexpensive. The pieces are stuffed with cotton batting material.
The ending car can be a caboose or another passenger car. Either one works well to end the train.
The felt choo choo train is lightweight and easy to hang up on a wall.
Make sure the train is safely out of reach of children since it does contain a cord linking them together.
