Easy Pumpkin Spice Brownie Recipe

Fall time and pumpkins . . .

I love the taste of a spicy pumpkin latte topped with a swirl of sweet whipped cream and a dusting of nutmeg.

Pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin bar cookies, pumpkin puddings and pumpkin sage fettuccine. . .

Ingredients

  • 1 Box of Brownie Mix
  • 1/2 Cup of Chocolate Chips, (Optional)
  • 1/2 Cup of Canned Pumpkin Puree, (Not Sweetened Pumpkin Pie Filling)
  • 6 Ounces of Cream Cheese, (at Room Temperature)
  • 3 Tablespoons of Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Cinnamon
  • 1/4 Teaspoon of Nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Make brownie mix according to box directions.  Add chocolate chips to batter for an extra burst of chocolate.  Mix well.
  3. Mix pumpkin puree, cream cheese, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg together.
  4. Layer half of the brown mix in the bottom of a  well greased baking pan.
  5. Spread the pumpkin mixture over the brown mixture.
  6. Top with the remaining brownie mixture and bake until done.
  7. Brownies are done if a fork stuck in the center of the brownie mix comes out clean.
