Digital screens on cars seems to be the latest way to earn extra cash. Today I saw a car in the parking lot with a large, easy to read LED screen advertising, of course, the LED screen.
I thought I would look into this as it doesn’t seem to be a hard way to make some cash.
What is a Digital Rooftop Screen?
First of all, a little research shows the car’s screen is digital with auto-brightness and full motion video capabilities. So as the vehicle drives, the screen apparently adjusts to the weather conditions such as a rainy or overcast days.
These video signs use geo-targeting and algorithms to determine the best location for certain ads. If you are frequently in a certain area and car digital screen are needed, then you might be able to get some revenue from the digital screen.
For example, to advertise a new deli in a neighborhood, the ad might only be shown on service cars driving on that same street as the deli.
Ending Notes on Digital Screens on Cars
The drivers of ride service cars receive extra money per week for driving with the screen on their car’s roof. Usually drivers have to log a certain amount of work hours per week for this privilege.
The screen is also installed on your person car which a person may or may not like. I also believe the costs for installing the unit on your car are not paid for by the company.
If you are willing to drive around with a large digital screen on the roof of your car, then perhaps this is something you should check into. My own concerns would be driving too close to a tree limb and knocking it off my car. But that’s my driving for you.
