Merry Christmas 2025 to all! Today we celebrate the ending holiday season with photographs from our noon meal.
Table Setting
Well, I usually use our forest green tablecloth, but I wanted to change things up a bit. This year we used a mainly white and flowered tablecloth which was given to me as a gift. Down the center of the table, we ran a red table runner made in Germany. This table runner was found in a secondhand store. We pulled out our large gold sled to use as the table centerpiece. It is rather tall, so I positioned it at the end of the table so everyone can see. The napkins were centered on the plates. These are actually red and white dish towels which were also found in a secondhand charity shop and I repurposed.

Oh boy, that’s not all because on one of my shopping trips, I found these bees wax candles. I’ve heard of that these candles do not drip. Sure enough, I didn’t notice any hot wax dripping down the sides. Actually, I used two different sized candle holders.

These bees wax candles burned throughout our meal and still look great. I’ll still get more use of them.
Menu for Christmas 2025
We wanted to enjoy a low carbohydrate meal, so we came up with the following menu which is high on fresh fruits and vegetables. Plus, it is time friendly as long as you remember to put the ham in the oven.
- Spiral Sliced Baked Ham, (We purchased this ham for a discounted price by buying $40 worth of groceries. Yes, that is easy for me to do).
- Fresh Mixed Geen Salad with Orange Slices and Pomegranate Arils served with Italian Salad Dressing
- Stuffing, (OK, not low carb but we served it anyway)
- Dessert – Sugar-Free Strawberry Gelatin topped with Whipped Cream, Pomegranate Arils and Chopped Pistachio nuts
- Suar Free Cranberry Flavored Ginger Ale and Decaf Coffee
Shopping Saving Money Note – Our holiday salads were served in bowls I recently found in a secondhand store for $2 each. Yes, I bought the whole stack of them because I never seem to have to right size bowls. Wow, these are perfect plus they fit into the space in my cabinet.
Oranges are in season now. I added some orange slices with some pomegranate arils. They make a colorful addition to our holiday fresh green salad.

Fresh asparagus spears are trimmed and microwaved.
Ending the Meal
To end the meal, I served sugar-free strawberry gelatin which was topped with whipped cream, left over pomegranate arils and green chopped pistachios. I liked the topping since it added a bit of crunch to the dessert. I, also, had some cookies but I’m not counting those. LOL
Note – The dessert is served in vintage bar glasses.

Ending Notes
In conclusion, enjoy today’s special blog and Happy Holidays to all!
In addition, don’t forget, we have New Years coming up soon.
