Butterscotch Bird Nest Treats

I am making some Butterscotch Bird Nest Treats to fill with jelly beans for Easter.

They look like real bird nests and they taste great.

Best of all, they only take two ingredients to make.

Directions

  1. Prepare a muffin tin by spraying it with nonstick spray.
  2. Place the butterscotch baking chips in a microwave safe bowl.  Microwave for one minute.  Stir the mixture well.  If there are still some un-melted chips, return bowl to microwave and microwave an additional minute.
  3. When all the chips are melted, gently fold in the chow mein noodles.  You do not want the noodles broken.  Make sure all noodles are evenly coated with the mixture.
  4. Put a small scope of mixture into each muffin tin cup.
  5. Before the mixture starts to cool, place the handle end of a large wooden spoon to make the nest indentation.  See below photograph.
  6. Place muffin tin in refrigerator to cool completely.
  7. To unmold each bird’s nest gently pry up with a fork.  Fill each nest with jelly beans or other treats.
  8. Store in an air tight container.
