Today I visited a resell shop and found a couple of interesting vintage items to blog about.
All of the items from today’s blog were photographed at the ReStore Shop in Chantilly.
This Teetertot is a child’s rocking toy from the 1950’s. It is made of wood and mounted on springs. This particular one looks almost new with very little wear on it.
There is a wooden bar and three white beads for the child to play with while sitting in the seat.
The Teetertot was made by the Delphos Bending Company in Delphos, Ohio.

However, not sure this rocking toy would pass today’s child safety checks.
There is no price tag on the item. I saw online they are priced any where from about $70 to $150 dollars.
This Teetertot is in excellent shape so I suspect it is worth more toward the top figure.

The photograph of the below vintage school desk really speaks to me of reading, writing and arithmetic.
I can just picture a student sitting at the desk.
No price tag on desk. I did not see a chair to go with the desk.

Today the Restore shop had a lot of red stemmed glasses.
The price is a dollar a glass but they are are marked with red advertising printing.
Unfortunately, I can not think of a way to remove/obscure the printing but some people would not care about this.
I like the happy bright-red glass stems.

This store has a section for used light fixtures and light bulbs.
It is wonderful that people donate these items so that they will not end up in the trash can or dump. I previously donated a bunch of red bricks to this ReStore, which they gladly accepted.
This store has a lot of building supplies and used furniture, so it was usual to see the above vintage Teetertot and the old school desk.
This is especially a great place to shop if you need a few odds and ends for repairs.
My purchase was two boxes of nails for a dollar each.
