Today’s photographs are of blooming roses made into floral arrangements. How is it possible that these lovely roses are still in bloom since we already had a freeze or two. Also, I noted all the rose buds on the photographs below.
Apparently, these arrangements represent the last of this gardener’s roses for the season. However, she states she prunes the roses so there will be more blooms next year.

Pruning Roses
So, one of her last gardening chores is to cut the rose bushes back in mid-November. In the spring the roses come back to life with lots of healthy flowers.
Some of her roses are slightly protected by being planted near the side of her house. However, the smaller red roses are located at the front of her house. The neighbors all admire her colorful blooming roses throughout the season and, also, the work she puts into her garden.

Ending Comments on Blooming Roses
Years ago, I had one red rose brush which was always full of Japanese beetles plus moldy leaves. It was too much work, and I was always spraying it with chemicals. Eventually, I tired of it, dug it up and tossed it out. Really, I hate to toss out plants, but this one never seemed to improve.
So, I’m happy that there are local gardeners that grow beautiful flowers and get them to bloom even in mid-November.
A Big Thank You to this Gardener for inspiring the Idea for today’s blog and also the Gorgeous Rose Photographs.
