Fall Blooms

Fall Blooms

OK, I know I blog about this every year, but I love fall blooms; colorful fall plants speak to my soul. It is, also, the time of the year when things take a slower pace and the garden begins its resting phase, trees begin to change colors, and colder air moves in.

On my recent trip to the garden center, I came across a group of individuals, apparently touring garden center. I, believe, they were in a class checking out all the fall blooms. I almost wanted to join them. However, I had some other things to accomplish, so alas, I kept my goals in mind. But what a great idea to blog about fall blooms!

Fall Blooms

Cold weather pansies brighten a flowerbed during the colder days of autumn.

Not to worry though, I was able to find and photograph lots of Fall Blooms on my own.

Hydrangeas in Bloom

I was surprised to find so many hydrangeas in bloom. Their fluffy bone white and pink flower heads dotted the outdoor walking paths.

I remember my aunt had a lovely white hydrangea plant on her property. One year, I cut a bunch of the blooms to dry and put into baskets for flower arrangements. However, when dried, the blooms looked rather brown, so I sprayed them with glitter spray. I found I liked the freshly picked hydrangeas better.

This hydrangea is trained to grow into a beautiful blooming tree. According to the plant’s tag, it grows 8 feet tall in full and part sunlight. It is priced at $349.99.

Ending Notes on Falls Bloom Blog

It’s always nice to take a stroll through the rows and rows of colorful blooming plants at the garden center. In the far back row notice the red and yellow hued trees.

And so, another blog ends but the fall flowers continue to bloom.
