This weekend was the grand opening of the Paris Baguette Bakery and Café located in the Arrowbrook Center in Herndon.
We stopped in for coffee and also sampled a delicious sweet rice donut. The bakery displays are a delight for the eyes and it is hard to make a selection.
I even spent a few minutes watching the employees make fancy pastries through a clear glass window.
Of course, my coffee buddy and myself looked at every pastry in the store before we decided on what to order. I really enjoyed seeing the holiday-themed decorations on the above photographed cake slices.
Our Dining Experience
We actually met Alma Siddiqui, the owner, who is a delightful person to talk with about her new store. She is a hard worker and at one time told us she worked up to three jobs at a time with her sights set on opening a bakery.
This bakery and cafe sells Paris themed sandwiches, salads, cakes, bread, muffins and seasonal baked goods.
The franchise’s vision is to reestablish the neighborhood cafe as the heart of the community.
There is a wide variety of fresh breads to select from.

Since the day had warmed up, we decided to take our coffee and bakery treat outdoors to eat on their blue and white patio furniture. The store is large, airy and very clean.
We watched people walk by and also parents pushing strollers.
Since we had such a nice time, we will definitely return and also bring friends with us.
We liked sitting in the outdoor patio with patio umbrellas.
