Because the winter holidays are right around the corner, I’m adding a blog on a Golden Christmas. How quickly the days pass in October and before you know it, December rolls around.
I’ve decided to blog on my recent visit to one of my favorite gardening centers with their fully holiday decorated show rooms.
Golden Christmas Decorating
First, we are going to look at some golden and natural green Christmas decorating. In the below photograph, you will notice holiday trees with golden ornaments and natural greens. It’s the type of green you would find deep in a pine forest with fresh snow on the ground. You can almost smell the crisp winter’s day.
On the center tree, you will noticed ribbons in muted shades of green and white. Also, on that tree are vintage-looking golden glitter bulbs, a small golden reindeer, and small wreaths. There is a light green faux magnolia wreath on the left side of the photograph. The golden tree sparkles with the lights.
On the table on the right, there is a white church decoration, a large bowl full of golden bulbs and some small bluish green mini trees.
On the floor there is a white house full of windows which matches the church. Both look like they are made of wood. In the center of the photograph is a floral tin full of white lotus seed pods. If you look carefully at the table, you will noticed a few figurines of a lady playing a musical instrument.
The next photograph is a holiday display on top of a piano, which is so rich and elegant. There is a lot of golden hued greenery about such as golden roses and golden leaves. A couple of golden picture frames are also on the piano near the angel wings.
Birds, Golden Greenery, and Angel Wings displayed on the top of a piano.
The below photograph shows two fully decorated holiday trees. Both trees are glowing with golden warmth. They are both full of golden ribbon and ornaments. The tops of the trees are crowned with ribbons and other golden greenery. On the left wall, you will notice a golden leaf wreath.
When holiday decorating, notice the plain rug on the floor. With a completely dazzling Christmas tree, use a plain rug near that tree so it doesn’t distract from your decorations.
My Favorite Piece of Golden Holiday Décor
With so many wonderful golden pieces in the store, it’s hard to select only one favorite piece, but I have.
I actually did a double take look at this piece. If you been reading FMB for while you know I love fabulous fakes.
To my eyes, the below decorated pine cones look totally real. However, they seem to be made out of a plastic material. Each floral sprig contains two good-sized pine cones with glitter on the surface.
I think faux pine cones are a great ideal because after a couple of years, dried pine cones start losing their good looks. Eventually, they will fall apart and need replacing. However these faux pine cones will look good and probably last for many, many years. Each sprig with two pine cones is priced at $24.99 each.
Ending Notes on Golden Christmas
I totally enjoyed researching my Golden Christmas blog.
All photographs were taken at Merrifield Garden Center. What is also great about their store is all items are clearly marked. You don’t have to go about looking for the box they came out of or look for sales help.
The Garden center offers many types of holiday plants, help with any gardening issues, or one can stroll through the immaculate rows of plants. All employees are super nice and helpful, too. They will take what ever time you need to decide on a plant and you never feel rushed.
So, ending this blog, I hope you have gotten some fresh ideas for the upcoming Golden Christmas season.
Have a Wonderful Golden Day!
