Classic Fall Table Setting

With the change in temperature, I decided to get out some fall decorations for my table.

First, I got out my fall colored table runner.  On top of it, I placed my rattan footed cake stand which I purchased at the Pottery Barn.  It looks nice when you serve cheese on it with artificial paper leaves.  During holiday times, I also been known to serve sliced pumpkin rolls or use it to serve cookies.  I gave one to my son’s school teacher once and she turned it over and said she served chips and dip with it.  Of course, it works best in casual setting.

For now, I am using my cake stand with my faux white pumpkin to keep it above the level of the table.  Table settings look better if some part of the decoration is elevated.  Lastly, I scattered silk fall leaves to complete the fall look.

The small orange pumpkin and gourds came from the second hand charity shop for $4.00 and the white pumpkin was purchased previously for $1.00.  The top of the green gourd was loose so I used white glue to glue it back on.

I like the classic look of fall.
