Wonderful Kitchen Wax Paper
Something as simple as wax paper can make a big difference in baking a cake.
The first use of wax paper would be to line a cake pan. This helps to prevent the cake from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
With the tip of a knife, trace a circle on the wax paper using the bottom of the baking pan as a pattern. Place the wax paper circle in the pan before adding the batter. Be sure to remove the wax paper before placing it on your cake stand.
Line Cake Stand with Strips of Wax PaperA second use of wax paper would be to keep your serving plate or cake stand clean from frosting.
Cut several strips of wax paper and place them over your cake stand or serving dish being sure to cover the edges.
Again, we see the “champagne” glass from the New Year’s blog. This time it is turned right side up to be used as a cake stand.

Almost like magic!

Wax paper can also be used to wrap a sandwich for work. Place a sheet of wax paper over your bread dough while it is rising. And you can also run your hot iron over a piece of wax paper so that it slides easily over your clothes when you are ironing the wrinkles out.
