What’s New at the Junk Store?
I took a trip to the junk store and saw these antique Quimper dishes in the display case.
Quimper faience is produced in a factory near Quimper in Brittany France. Quimper is tin-glazed and hand-painted earthenware pottery often decorated with folk art designs. Some Quimper ware goes back to 1708 and is strongly sought out by collectors.
I am not going to spend that much money on these dishes, but they have a nice blue and white pattern. Too rich for my pocketbook.
Vintage Chair and CradleThis photograph shows some of the interesting chairs. The large one almost looks like it belongs in a quaint little cottage in the woods.
There is also an interesting cradle in the background.
Philippines Vase with two Horses Shelves of Silver Plated Dishes Rice Server/Plates?I am thinking this is a photograph of a rice server and possibly plates. It has some chips on the sides, obviously well loved.
Farmhouse Magic Blog readers any ideas of what this is?
