Wax Your Surfboard?

When I picked up this .50 cent package of paraffin wax in the junk store, I noticed it could be used for waxing surfboards.

The purpose of waxing a surfboard is that it keeps the surfer from slipping off the board when riding a wave or padding out in to the surf.  The bottom side of surfboard is smooth.  The standing deck zone of the surfboard is the area that is waxed.  There are actual surfboard wax artists who make waxing a surfboard an artistic endeavor.

However, Farmhouse Magic Blog’s use of paraffin wax would be limited to making faux jelly, sealing jelly tops, or making candles.  Sorry I don’t have a surfboard hidden in the basement.  I only learned to swim while taking P.E. in high school.

As you can see, for only .50 cents I have something of value that I can use in the future even if it is not for surfing.
